Sajama National park & Salt flats of Uyuni

We begin our adventure on the highway to Oruro, then we will take the international highway to Tambo Quemado (Chilean border), from here you can enjoy authentic colorful landscapes that will amaze you. Our first stop will be at the Chulpares or Andean Cemeteries, where there are a large number of bones and skulls that correspond to the ancient inhabitants of this side of the territory. They were buried according to their customs and traditions.
We continue the trip and our next stop will be in the town of Curahuara de Carangas, famous for being a town in which the majority of its inhabitants own Camelid cattle. Also here is a colonial church dating from the 16th century that is also called the Sistine Chapel of the Altiplano. Inside it has priceless paintings and pictures that date back to the arrival of the first evangelizers to this indigenous territory. We can also enjoy priceless pieces from the same church that are very ancient. After this stop we arrived at Sajama National Park where we all registered and paid our entrance fee. We will arrive at our first selected resting place.
In the afternoon after lunch we will have an unforgettable walk, we will go to the Geysers or Fumaroles where the water is so hot that you can boil an egg. We will also visit the Queñua forest and Mirador del Volcán Sajama. Later we go to the hot springs to take a delicious and refreshing bath. This moment will be the right time to have a spectacular and overwhelming sunset. Return to the accommodation and at night we will have dinner in the same resting place. Overnight in Sajama (Town)

Meals included: lunch, dinner

After breakfast, we will head back to the road this time along a path that will take us towards the Uyuni salt flat. On the way we will observe abundant herds of Llamas, Alpacas and Vicuñas across the altiplano (high plateau). It is a long day but full of spectacular landscapes. We will also see steep mountain ranges covered in snow, we will see Lake Poopó or well what remains of it. We will pass through the town of Orinoca and other towns. Finally we will arrive at the town of Uyuni where we will spend the second night.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch

We begin our visit at the train cemetery, where the first locomotives arrived in Bolivia in the 18th century in order to transport minerals between Pulacayo and Antofagasta.
We continue our visit to the great Tunupa Salt Flats, our next stop is the town of Colchani, where locals sell salt crafts and give demonstrations about salt processing. Then we enter the salt flat itself, which is the largest white lake in the world with approximately 10,500km2.
Our visit continues towards the salt eyes, the Sal pyramids, the former Sal hotel (now converted into a museum), right there in front is the Plaza de las Banderas and the staircase to heaven. Finally we arrive at Incahuasi Island, which is a true Cactus Valley in the middle of the salt desert. There you can take a walk around this unique island.

Mom and daughter trip! We had an absolute amazing time. Such a professional service and wonderful experience with fabulous guides that treat you like family and speak perfect English. We used them for a trip from Peru to Bolivia. Cirus in Peru is the best. He showed us Lake Titicaca and Puna. He had a special private boat waiting for us at the hotel to give us an early morning tour before he took us to his colleague Marcelo for our trip to Bolivia. Marcelo picked us up and walked us through border crossing and then took us on a great tour of Bolivian aside of Lake Titicaca, and then to La Paz and valley of the moons. Before Valley of the Moons, Marcelo’s wife went around the city with us on cable cars so we could have an arial view of different parts of the city. We spent the entire day exploring before our hotel and transfer to the Uyuni salt flats. We went to Bolivia when they said it wasn’t safe due to political unrest but we couldn’t have been more safe with Ciru and Marcelo plus it was actually nice to have no crowds and to see everything. I highly recommend them if you want a great time, affordable trip, and to be completely looked after, and safe, while being in the presence of knowledgeable natives.

Trip of a lifetime! Thanks to Inday Tours Expeditions we had a wonderful trip to Bolivia. Marcelo picked us up at the border from another wonderful guide Ciru through the company. There was a lot of unrest in Bolivia before our arrival and Marcelo kept us updated and made sure that we were safe. He was amazing and showed us all of the sights we could fit into one day. He took us to the airport the next morning for us to go to the salt flats. On the way back we had a few hours layover at the La Paz airport. He kindly picked us up and escorted us around more and got us back to the airport in time to continue our travels. Best service imaginable. I feel like he’s our family now.

Perfekt Trip - Perfekt Organisation Marcelo and his team organized a three-week trip through Peru and Bolivia. It all worked smoothly and it has to be pointed out that Marcelo was always available for questions via WhatsApp and when the domestic flight (booked by ourselves, not via Inday Tours & Expeditions) was canceled on the eve of departure, he helped us with booking a new flight. Inday Tours & Expeditions is to be recommended !! Thank you for this great experience!!

Excellent service- must visit We went on the tour Bolivia/Peru at the end of June. Marcelo was our guide. Very knowledgeable, with prompt reactions, very thorough in his job. Our plane from Pampas was postponed, so our itinerary in La Paz had to be changed. Marcelo made arrangements that we could compensate this another day. He went with us to Copacabana and escort us on the bus to Puno. We would always recommend Inday Tours. Marcelo, dear friend, thank you for everything.
