Sajama National park & Salt flats of Uyuni
We begin our adventure on the highway to Oruro, then we will take the international highway to Tambo Quemado (Chilean border), from here you can enjoy authentic colorful landscapes that will amaze you. Our first stop will be at the Chulpares or Andean Cemeteries, where there are a large number of bones and skulls that correspond to the ancient inhabitants of this side of the territory. They were buried according to their customs and traditions.
We continue the trip and our next stop will be in the town of Curahuara de Carangas, famous for being a town in which the majority of its inhabitants own Camelid cattle. Also here is a colonial church dating from the 16th century that is also called the Sistine Chapel of the Altiplano. Inside it has priceless paintings and pictures that date back to the arrival of the first evangelizers to this indigenous territory. We can also enjoy priceless pieces from the same church that are very ancient. After this stop we arrived at Sajama National Park where we all registered and paid our entrance fee. We will arrive at our first selected resting place.
In the afternoon after lunch we will have an unforgettable walk, we will go to the Geysers or Fumaroles where the water is so hot that you can boil an egg. We will also visit the Queñua forest and Mirador del Volcán Sajama. Later we go to the hot springs to take a delicious and refreshing bath. This moment will be the right time to have a spectacular and overwhelming sunset. Return to the accommodation and at night we will have dinner in the same resting place. Overnight in Sajama (Town)
