Pico Austria
PICO AUSTRIA (full day)
Departure early in the morning, we will drive around 2.5 hours along a paved road then we will take a detour and continue along a ripped path road, arriving at the Tuni lagoon. The hike begins at 4200m and from here we will hike about 3 hours, getting at 4,670 m. On our way we will be able to observe llamas, Alpacas and wildlife and an impressive view of the Condoriri mountain. The Cordillera Real (5,648m) After a well-deserved rest we will have our box lunch, we will descend back about 2.5 hours towards «Plaza de Llamas», where our transport will be waiting to take us back to the city of La Paz.

It will allow to bring costs down and make the experience more enjoyable.
• You have to consider to rent if necessary for the whole trip, not just the number of hiking days.
• Please, be careful to keep the renting items in a good condition, if for any reason they suffer some damage, you are responsible to pay to replace them.
• The time cited in this itinerary are approximately, all depends on the group progress.
• You have to carry your personal supplies, including sleeping bag. We recommend not to carry more than 10 kilograms. We are responsible to carry food, tents, mattresses.
• We will provide you boiled water during the whole trek, it’s important to carry purifying pills just in case.

CONDORIRI TRAIL (2days)
Departure from La Paz at 8:30 a.m. in our private vehicle we will take about
2 ½ hrs to Tuni village then we will start our trek.
After the lake of the same name, where we will trek progressively to an
altitude of 4.670m. Until we reach our first camp, on the shores of the
beautiful Chiara-Khota lagoon. From
there we have a very beautiful view of the “Cabezadel Condor”, or the Head of
the Condor also known as El Condoriri, dominating the scenery (5648). It forms,
with the two adjacent Summit, the Condoriri Range, in the shape of a condor
with tucked wings.
Hiking time: 3 – 4 hours
Camping altitude: 4670m
Meals included: lunch, dinner
From Laguna Chiarkhota we begin by ascending up a steep slope to reach Austria Pick, a jewel nested at an altitude of 5200 meters in front Condoriri (5648m) from there we will see imposing Huayna Potosi mountain, Pequeño Alpamayo, Black niddle, Condoriri specially Lake Titicaca and a line of Cordillera Real then we will decent to de Rinconada for to return to La Paz
